Never too late to get started on this amazing series submitted by jmanwoo on June 12, 2023, 10:12am I began reading Gaiman's works in my college through recommendation from a good friend. Since then I read almost all his works but the graphic novels never interested me. I was a fool. This is one of his best works.

Don't Underestimate the Horror Component submitted by lvpratt on June 30, 2023, 8:58pm I can tell that this volume is setting the reader up for great things to come; I agree with Neil Gaiman's own assessment that he hadn't quite figure out pacing, plot, or characters yet. Gaiman writes some YA materials, and comics are often YA marketed: This is not one of those. One of the comics in this book deals entirely with a group of people being tortured for 24 hours, in 24 different ways. It seemed a little gratuitous to me, since the torturer is taken out of the picture shortly thereafter. My favorite part was the last comic, with Death.

Just revisited submitted by kaymbre on June 30, 2023, 11:53pm I first read this graphic novel more than a decade ago. After seeing the television version, I decided to revisit it. The mastery holds up well. It is dark fantasy and not a comic book for children, but for those who enjoy Gaiman, this is the beginning of an amazing series.

Preludes and Nocturnes submitted by hrgray on July 10, 2023, 11:05pm It's interesting to come back to this after watching the Netflix series, which this volume covers the first half of. While there are a fair amount of differences between the show and the original book, they both share an amazing cast of characters and a beautiful art style.
