Best of Emo submitted by Meginator on June 23, 2019, 10:41pm This is a retrospective compilation album for Taking Back Sunday, including a lot of familiar songs and a couple of new recordings as well. Full of raw emotional passion, these tracks tend toward the melodramatic, but you can never accuse the band of settling for half measures. Each song has a driving energy to it, but the vocal style can make them feel a bit repetitive after a while. This definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but you'll know from the first track whether it's your jam or not; either way, Taking Back Sunday are one of the most successful emo bands and this album is a testament to their staying power.
