Great Book... submitted by claras on June 16, 2019, 5:32pm Really loved the book by Patrick DeWitt, but didn't feel that it translated very well to the screen. Great actors, good performances, just the dialogue felt stiff and the story a bit too slow.

Good Western, not actually a Comedy submitted by nemiller on August 29, 2019, 9:53am I'm glad AADL is categorizing this film as a Western and not a Comedy. I think it suffered in theaters because the trailers made it out to be a comedy, maybe because of the lead actor, and while there were definitely some funny moments, it's absolutely not a comedy.

Brilliant performances by Joaquin Phoenix, Jake Gyllenhaal, Riz Ahmed, and Rebecca Root. The landscapes are stunning. Just make sure to bring your tissues!
