excellent submitted by bec on June 15, 2020, 8:36am I was lucky to have this book checked out over the pandemic shutdown, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Benkabbou offers both traditional and modern Moroccan recipes. As a vegetarian, I got a LOT out of her shareable starters and vegetarian dishes sections- the meat recipes also looked delicious. I found the recipes affordable, easy to follow, and adaptable (in a period of reduced grocery shopping/grocery availability), with reliably great results. There's a good mix of weeknight and more time-consuming options, and the bread chapter offered some good quarantine baking projects like almond msemen and mlaoui. Basically, I'm sad to have to return this book and I'm going to have to buy my own copy.
