COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Welcome 13 submitted by majean on June 15, 2019, 10:54am I like the new Doctor and appreciate the diverse cast. They have a good chemistry. Nothing too dark yet plot-wise.

the very best submitted by KimB on June 16, 2022, 11:43pm This is my favorite season of Doctor Who, ever. Every episode was excellent or nearly excellent. They finally went back to the show's roots and included real history and some real science/technology in the stories. The cast are all excellent and the characters get development as people, not just as a pretty female companion to be rescued or to suddenly become a super genius in one plot moment. I like that they went back to classic who with a "Tardis team" as well. More than one character to carry all of the companion weight (getting into trouble, getting out of trouble, asking questions, stumbling into chaos, etc) seemed more realistic and made for better stories.

The good and the bad submitted by PeachLily on August 10, 2022, 12:54pm I really wanted to love this season and the new doctor!! I love that we finally have a female doctor and a diverse cast but the writing just isn't it. The actors can act, but they aren't given the room to shine and create magical dynamics like in other seasons. A lot of the plots are fake woke and actually problematic and that was very disappointing. I wish there was more nuance and character moments. Hopefully it gets better with new writers!
