The Book Hog Has More Than a Case of Tsundoku submitted by OlfactoryBookworm on July 16, 2019, 8:30pm This little piggy loves books, piles and piles of books—but there’s more. The Book Hog has a secret that he hasn’t told anyone, and it’s not what you’d expect. It’s a great twist, but the story pivots without dropping a few clues before the big reveal. A child’s mind is curious, and the absence of foreshadowing in the narrative is disappointing. It makes the Book Hog’s secret feel contrived, instead of relatable.
