The Wind Plays Tricks submitted by camieroper on July 6, 2019, 3:26pm This gentle book has a lovely cadence pleasing to kids and adults alike. When the wind reassigns different voices to the animals, it stretches little ones to catch up and contemplate these twists. Illustrations advance the narrative nicely, and the book is a great success. Kudos to Virginia Howard for capturing imaginations and whimsy, and wafting them along to us on a summer breeze.
