Another great installment submitted by eileenw on August 19, 2019, 5:21pm The Mercy Thompson series continues with book 11 of the series. (How have we already gotten to 11! It seems like I just started reading these yesterday!) I love this series and Storm Cursed makes a nice addition.

Previously, in Silence Fallen, we'd spent most of the book in Europe and had to delve into a dual point of view with Adam narrating the sections where Mercy wasn't around. Blissfully, in Storm Cursed, we're back to Mercy as our only narrator and we're back to the familiar setting of the Tri-Cities where all of our beloved secondary characters can make appearances. This book's secondary-character Hat Tip goes to Zee and Tad; additionally, some lost ground is recovered with Stefan.

Trigger warning: the book's antagonists are so-called "black witches" who practice this story-world's most vile form of magic which includes torturing animals and humans to derive magical power. While it's not gratuitous, I did step back a few times and go "ew, oh man, gross."
