The Onion Isn't As Layered Sadly
submitted by WillJBell on August 22, 2023, 8:27am
After a strong opening story arc, Black Science slows down a bit here with repetitive dialogue and plot. It all felt very similar to what came before, which surprising considering the premise of the book.
The art is still gorgeous and the variety of worlds the cast explores is impressive, but I couldn't help feel like I had read the "we messed up bad, but we'll stop at nothing to do better and protect those we care about" already.
