Becoming Outstanding submitted by avida on April 3, 2019, 1:04pm This very personal memoir helps you to understand the incredible odds the Obamas had to overcome to get anything passed because the Republican Party had one goal: to make President Obama be as unable to get anything done in office including voting down any kind of gun control, passing a united healthcare, making more jobs etc. Michelle makes you understand that voting in every election is so important. This is a must read for anyone who cares about the United States.

In her own voice submitted by kwolney on August 26, 2019, 10:15pm This book is a wonderful look into the first lady’s life before, during, and after the presidency. I found it even more compelling to be able to hear it in her voice.
Becoming submitted by Varshini on August 31, 2019, 9:52pm I read the book and just had to listen to Becoming. Michelle Obama is such a great role model.

A must read! submitted by mickplu on June 26, 2021, 5:23pm You will not only learn more about Michelle Obama, Barak, and the kids, but you will also be amazed at some of the White House traditions.
Rich and poignant submitted by slafia on August 25, 2021, 3:28am Amazing storytelling read aloud by Michelle O,. Highlights include valuable lessons carried forward from her childhood and honest depictions of her personal struggles to become a public, political figure. Also brings places, especially in Chicago, to life!
Michelle Obama Read Me Her Book.... and it was excellent! submitted by clarka on June 20, 2022, 11:59pm I love BOCDs read by the author (most of the time) - and Michelle's reading is a perfect example of why. She knows how every sentence is meant to be read, how to emphasize the words she wrote, and it adds a lot to the experience. I thought it was really interesting to learn about her relationship with Barack (sometimes it made me so frustrated with him!), how she chose to raise her children, and her experience growing up in Chicago. I was surprised to hear about how much she advocated for doctors to use the BMI scale in "curing" childhood obesity, especially considering the the racist and problematic history behind the BMI scale.
Becoming submitted by changflm on June 29, 2022, 11:20pm I love this book on tape, Michelle reads it herself and does a fantastic job.
