Pop-Punk Throwback submitted by Meginator on August 17, 2020, 7:20pm This album hits all of the expected pop-punk notes, from the upbeat anthems to the downtempo ballads, and could have come straight out of the genre’s early-2000s heyday. That said, I had hoped for a bit more depth to the lyrics, which still seem tailored to appeal to an audience that has possibly outgrown them. Nevertheless, all of the proper pop-punk ingredients are here and the album is a fun throwback with just enough innovation to avoid sounding completely dated. It’s good enough for what it is.
