(You Already Know if You're Going to Like This) submitted by Meginator on June 27, 2020, 6:49pm One might reasonably question whether the world really needs an album that consists entirely of Cher’s covers of ABBA songs, but the answer is an obvious and emphatic “YES!”. Cher brings her signature deep vocal tones to the classic ABBA catalogue with remarkably little overt auto-tune, and though only “Chiquitita” drifts from the source material in any meaningful way the album is a delight through and through. If “Cher does ABBA” is an idea that excites you, this is exactly what you’re looking for and if not, you should probably listen to it anyway, because Cher is a national treasure and an all-time great entertainer. It’s wonderful to see her shine so brightly this deep into her career.
