no submitted by calinescus on August 2, 2019, 4:21pm I picked this up to give it a chance, knowing absolutely nothing about it save what the style of the cover told me. "It has Rivers Cuomo," I said. "Weezer is cool! This could be fun!"

I couldn't get through it. The production was so overbearingly cliched and boring. Boring boring EDM-esque pop tripe. I was glad to pop this out of my CD player and move on with my life. I think I barely got through 1 or 2 tracks.

Irreverent Electric Alt-Rock submitted by Meginator on July 4, 2022, 8:56am AJR’s irreverent mix of alt-rock and edgy electronic music fits perfectly with their lyrics, which deploy a fair bit of cynicism about the nature of fame and life as a touring musician. Yet the album is far from dire, and the constant humor and irony hint at the band’s slightly more positive outlook on life, or at least their willingness to admit it’s not all doom and gloom. Musically and lyrically, the band offers something a little bit different, a breath of fresh air and straight shooting by a group of guys who seem like they’d be fun to hang out with, if not necessarily fun at parties.
