Quiet Rural Contemplation submitted by sdunav on July 15, 2016, 2:51pm This memoir recounts life on family farms in Minnesota and Montana in the middle of the 20th century, with some history (of farming, alfalfa, tractors & other machinery, like beaverslides and combines), and beautiful descriptions of land and people. It isn't a fast read, but it is an enjoyable one if you're at all interested in agricultural history.
