"35 projects that explore the versatility of pattern in every room. Patterns made by hand are more interesting, alive, and vibrant than any machine-patterned object. With brushes and paint, needles and threads, and a little imagination, color expert and crafter Kristin Nicholas shows how you can transform your home into a space that sings. In Crafting a Patterned Home you'll: explore different types of patterns and how to mix and layer patterns together; learn DIY techniques to freshen and transform your home with pattern, paint, and more; discover the projects, inspiration, and ideas for enlivening your space. This book will guide you in playing with texture, scale, and color through embroidery, knitting, crochet, ceramics, painting, stamping, and more."--Back cover.

Crafting a Patterned Home – submitted by sara on June 17, 2020, 7:20pm I wouldn’t dare to combine the amount of different patterns the author uses in her home, but I would dare to pick and choose among the projects to personalize my home. The “Blousy Rose Faux Rug” looks like one of my designs, a certainly uses my kitchen color scheme. There are some great ideas in the book, and you don’t have to use the author’s templates- make your own.
