The Run Fast Eat Slow way -- Jump-start your kitchen -- Rise & run -- Long run brunch -- Lunch pail (& salads) -- Dinner bell (and soups & sides) -- Saucy -- Power snacks (savory) -- Power snacks (sweet) -- Race ready.
In their second cookbook, Olympian Shalane Flanagan and chef Elyse Kopecky present recipes that are fast and easy without sacrificing flavor. Quickly fix pre-run snacks, post-run recovery breakfasts, on-the-go lunches, and 30-minutes-or-less dinner recipes. Every recipe--from Shalane and Elyse's signature Superhero muffins to energizing smoothies, grain salads, veggie-loaded power bowls, homemade pizza, and race day bars--provides fuel and nutrition without sacrificing taste or time.

Good submitted by zmclaugh on July 13, 2019, 8:02pm Some tasty-looking, creative recipes, but this book really excels in its approach to nutrition for athletes and running tips. We can see how food and athleticism are closely connected.

Delicious submitted by khrobinson on August 19, 2023, 11:03pm The second cookbook from Flanagan and Kopecky is not quite as strong as the first, but there are still lots of good whole food recipes here, many of which are quick and easy. Lots of variations on superhero muffins too.

Healthy submitted by JJM.Deucher on August 20, 2023, 7:17am Not everything in here is a winner, but there are a few worth while recipes that have become staples such as the superhero muffins and the salmon and sweet potato cakes.
