Kind of Disappointing submitted by Meginator on June 17, 2023, 11:44pm Although this cookbook does deliver on its title, providing a good selection of recipes for electronic pressure cookers, I found most of the recipes I tried to be a little disappointing in flavor and texture; this is particularly odd given that the book’s front matter explicitly references the types of meals that are best suited to this cooking method and encourages readers to avoid pushing the pressure cooker to be something that it is not. Nothing in the book is particularly complicated, but the instructions sometimes leave enough room for judgment calls that I was happy to have some kitchen experience, and the recipes tended to include a little too much salt. This cookbook offers some good ideas for meals in a pinch, but most of these dishes are more effective when cooked the long way.
