K-Pop Revolution submitted by Meginator on June 25, 2020, 4:21pm Listening to this album, it’s easy to see why BTS have catapulted to huge worldwide fame, and you don’t need to understand Korean (or Japanese) to join the bandwagon. The group has incredible range, pulling off everything from suave ballads to aggressive pop-rap bangers without missing a beat, sprinkling in a few bits of other influences here and there for good measure. This album is obviously a very slick production, finely attuned to the broadest range of preferences and delicately crafted, but the result is so infectiously good that it doesn’t matter. I don’t know why I find this so compelling, but I can’t get enough of it- and that’s from the audio alone, without the killer dance moves.
