What is "Star Wars fatigue"? Is it what you feel when you watch "The Last Jedi" with its Disney-esque pandering and the stagey Rey/Kylo team-up fight scene (take a close look-- I thought they were going to break out in song!)?
Aside from the strange, pretty much, singular flaw in writing (the Empire giving him his surname "Solo"; also, a bit heavy on the fan-service), this one was pretty good! Solo: A Star Wars Story is a visual treat, exciting and funny!
The casting was excellent! Woody Harrelson and Donald Glover shine ( a Lando Calrissian movie would be a good idea!) and Alden Ehrenreich isn't a young Harrison Ford, but makes a believable young Han. Emilia Clarke is gorgeous and her acting job is top-notched!

So that's how it all started ... submitted by aadlus on August 3, 2019, 11:32pm Loved this movie. It is funny but not slapstick. Not doom, gloom and noble but young, hopeful and noble. Acting and casting was really right on. Lots of action that sweeps you up. Watched this on the plane and many times by video. Enjoy!

Not great submitted by SaraP on August 4, 2019, 8:22am It's fun to watch him get the Falcon and meet Lando. It's fun to watch him team up w/ Chewie and get his blaster, but we all kind of assumed this is how it happened so there aren't enough surprises to make it worth the time.
