Entertaining Enough, Not Spectacular submitted by Meginator on July 31, 2019, 10:51pm This film definitely delivers on the big action, and it's good enough for a couple of hours of entertainment, but I couldn't help but come away disappointed. The plot has far too many internal inconsistencies and holes and most everything else was completely predictable in a way that spoiled much of the fun for me. I was duly impressed by a lot of the action sequences, which feature some really cool cinematography, and appreciated the visual humor implicit in dinosaurs interacting with the modern world; the film also has a great callback to the kitchen scene from the original Jurassic Park. This has enough substance to it to feel like more than just a cash grab, but I can't help but want something more imaginative (or at least more fun) from the franchise.

Fallen Kingdom is a bit difficult to watch only because it doesn't hold our attention in the same way that the prior movies in the series does. Also, it's hard to watch one of the iconic characters of the movie be demolished (sorry, spoiler alert).
