Sad, Actually submitted by krogers on June 18, 2023, 8:05pm Spoiler alert: this movie is not the feel-good tale that the description makes it out to be; it’s actually quite sad. It starts out well, but drags out a sad ending that doesn’t really fit so well with the point the filmmakers were trying to make. If the filmmakers wanted to tell the true story, they could have omitted the manipulative plot device, which they chose to feature but wasn’t key to the story. If they wanted to tell a good heartwarming story with a good message, they could have done it entirely without the manipulative plot device.
