Fun double feature submitted by tcramer318 on August 1, 2023, 6:58am These films are a hoot if you don't take them seriously. In Beach Party, the film that kicked off the series, an anthropology professor tries to study the surf teens and write a text about their culture. This features a very brief appearance by Vincent Price towards the end of the movie. In Bikini Beach, Frankie Avalon plays the role of British rock star Potato Bug and hijinks ensue at the drag racing strip. Bikini Beach also includes a plot line about a real estate developer trying to kick the surf teens off the beach so he can expand his retirement community.
