Read This While Getting Some Experience submitted by Meginator on August 24, 2020, 7:03pm Geared toward readers who intend to begin playing disc golf, this book covers all of the basics, beginning with an engaging history of the sport and including chapters on rules, equipment (including a dense chapter about physics), and techniques. The information about different types of grips and throws is surprisingly dense for a beginner’s manual, making it feel at times overwhelming, but supplementary photographs go a long way toward making the information more digestible. I recommend that new players initially skim this book and then return to it after gaining some firsthand experience, which will go a long way toward making the authors’ suggestions practical and helpful.
