COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Wes Anderson movie submitted by leea on August 6, 2018, 12:33am Wes Anderson animation of inventive imagination and well worth getting lost within. Specially if you are dog person, you feel the emotion of this wild tale of a Japanese town banning all dogs to an island and a boy's desperate search for his canine friend.

DOGS! submitted by manz on August 24, 2018, 4:20pm I really enjoyed this and loved the dogs. Wasn't my fave Wes Anderson film though.

Interesting submitted by Xris on December 26, 2018, 5:01pm I was slightly disappointed that not all the Japanese was translated. Wondering if it would be more meaningful if I understood it. But cute story about banning dogs, and great voice actors!

I Love Dogs submitted by A2AE on July 19, 2021, 8:04pm Another excellent example of stop motion from the perfectly quirky, precise brain of Wes Anderson. And that use of "I Won't Hurt You" is both masterfully incorporated and such a delightful surprise (how does he find such a good song that none of us heard of before this film?).

Loved it! submitted by mgabbieb on June 18, 2023, 11:29pm His movies are so easy and interesting to watch. Kept me hooked from the start and the time flew by. Its a sweet film
