COMMUNITY REVIEWS

International casting submitted by leea on July 11, 2018, 11:13am I appreciate the international casting of actors and actress in this movie. It show the diversity in movie industry. Like most sequels to sci-fi action thrillers showcasing giant metallic fighters go, “Pacific Rim Uprising” is adroit and enjoyable.

Not having Guillermo Del Toro hurts submitted by valjean on July 29, 2018, 9:05pm The first one was directed and written by Del Toro, and this one was just 'produced by' him, and you can really tell. Although this still has a cool backdrop of giant monsters and robots fighting, the amount of human emotion and gravity is really gone.

not as good as the first one submitted by yufamily on August 11, 2018, 10:50am disappointing

As good as the first submitted by Xris on August 25, 2018, 10:36pm Nice twist on the villain...didn't see it coming. I like the new characters of the cadets. Especially one of the main characters who makes her own Jaeger. They all work well together to help save the world again.

Boring submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 6:48pm The characters were one-dimensional. The plot was primarily repetitive of the first movie. The special effects were nothing new.

Uprising submitted by avrogers1 on June 19, 2019, 2:07pm This wasn't bad for a syfy flick. I really liked the storyline and the cast for most part. The CGI was pretty cool too. However, I liked the first one quite a bit better

Good submitted by anupamap on August 27, 2019, 10:41am I haven't watched the first movie but I have watched this one. I like this movie, lots of action. I also like the idea of huge, high-tech, giant robots fight monsters (Kaiju). I heard the first movie is better. There was too much talking in this movie.
