Stranger Things Season 1 submitted by SBNB on June 16, 2019, 6:13pm Stranger Things is amazing. The whole 80s backdrop makes it even better. It was so good that I want to watch it again soon. It's a lovely package of horror, suspense, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, and 80s kids.

The kid actors are great and make me laugh. The series takes me back to how I felt as a kid watching movies like ET, Gremlins, Stand By Me and Goonies.

My Guilty Pleasure submitted by jibkidder on June 17, 2022, 10:14am I can't help but feel like this was focus grouped for me, that, just being the age I am, I would be a sucker for anything with the John Carpenter music vibe and the Goonies nostalgia. I have a similar thought which is just wow, I can see now that ET would be twice as good if you took out the John Williams garbage and replaced it with some synths. Anyways, manipulation or no, this is one of the few things I could watch while withdrawing from nicotine.
