Stranger Things Season 1 submitted by SBNB on June 16, 2019, 6:14pm Stranger Things is amazing. The whole 80s backdrop makes it even better. It's a lovely package of horror, suspense, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, and 80s kids' stuff.

My Guilty Pleasure submitted by jibkidder on July 3, 2022, 12:48pm Although there is not much too it, it is almost algorithm generated in its pastiche of 1980s tropes, I can't help but be sucked in. I would say it is particularly the evocative music and the way that the kids seem to physically relate to the stars of the films that inspired this show, whether the Goonies, or Firestarter or ET. It is an almost eerie use of nostalgia in media.

Essential 80s Nostalgia submitted by krogers on June 16, 2023, 12:31pm Excellent series. Billed as horror/sci-fi-drama mix, but the horror is not gory or overwhelming. Well balanced and a realistic throwback to the 80’s. Great music, too. The characters are good, and this would be enjoyable for lots of different tastes, but if you are into 80's nostalgia, you definitely don't want to miss this.
