A Total disappointment! :( submitted by bookworms on June 17, 2018, 9:41pm I loved the whole Penderwick's series, but this was very disappointing!

It has almost no excitement! It just follows Lydia, the youngest Penderwick, around while she "explorers" Arundel.
It features a Penderwick wedding, but there isn't a chapter about the wedding! It just skips over it!!!!!!!! It also features a few new, but veeeeryy unnecessary characters who serve no actual purpose in the story.

This book was supposed to be the grand finale of the delightful Penderwick story. Instead... it leaves you quite disappointed! This did not

But it was actually a quite a disappointment. I felt like all the characters I had known in the first four books were different people and none of them seemed quite like themselves. Be warned that if you read this your love for the Penderwicks books could be harmed.

Okay submitted by T R W on August 2, 2021, 9:46am It was fun, but I felt like it was too huge a leap from the last books. The only character who's perspective we get is Lydia's, unlike the other ones. I really wish my old "friends" (Rosalind, Skye, Jane and Batty) were still there like they were. I felt like it changed a lot to show them all as adults, and that was sad. I'm still very glad I read it, and I definitely enjoyed it, but I was a bit disappointed when I read it. Still, I recommend it! Just be forewarned. Four out of five stars!!

Full Circle submitted by kathscot on August 16, 2021, 6:46pm The four original Penderwicks are all grown up and the story is mostly about their little sister Lydia when they all return to Arundel for Rosalind's wedding. It's interesting to see how the older ones have grown, but not as strong as the other 4 stories.

Interesting submitted by mckeetho on July 7, 2023, 4:57pm So much is going on in the Penderwick house! The sisters are going back to Arundel and are having a Penderwick wedding! ALL the girls are older.Pretty good book overall. I’m 8 and will be reading these books FOREVER!!!
