Not Like the Others submitted by feshile on July 7, 2018, 3:02pm I enjoyed the other books, especially the conflict. However, this book did not deliver that aspect. It was still very good, but it was going from war to family life. Feyre did not fight or even use her powers. As that was my favorite part of the series, I was disappointed.

Great addition, but mixed feelings submitted by nsvinicki on July 8, 2018, 3:38pm I was so excited about this book, being a huge fan of Maas's work.

This book is about recovery and family life after the action and cataclysm of the last two books. It's not supposed to be super suspenseful and dramatic. It's about healing and love - which after the emotional roller coaster of the last two books, I was grateful for!

But there's some things about this book that don't feel right. The characters don't seem to have the same thoughts and feelings as they did in the rest of the series - but perhaps this is what Maas wanted. The things that happen and the plot of this book is super satisfying for fans, and definitely gives reader's an excellent addition to the series. I'm also LIVING for the sneak peak to her next series that's included in this book!

Okay submitted by zmclaugh on July 29, 2018, 11:28am This was not my favorite of the series. I'm a little tired of Feyre's constant angst and wanted to see more of secondary characters.

A good break submitted by arader24 on June 13, 2021, 6:39pm This is a good break after the war and before the next big thing. It was about healing from the fighting and loving themselves. It was soothing for me to read and I love it.

Worth the read submitted by ShanleyBelle on July 19, 2021, 5:41pm For a series that's full of action, it's nice to see the characters happy for a little while in this Christmas special. I hope SJM does more of these novellas! Definitely a good read, and I look forward to re-reading it this Christmas! (Ahem, Solstice.)
