Cece loves science, and I love books about girls who love science! submitted by kkellis on July 15, 2018, 8:33pm I am loving the recent surge in books about STEM-loving girls, and this book is a nice addition to that genre. Cece's teacher, Ms. Curie, has the class pair up and investigate questions they are curious about. A fun story, and a nice introduction to the scientific method for elementary-aged kids.
Severely disappointing submitted by KimB on August 26, 2020, 2:12pm I was really excited by the idea of this book, but the reality was awful. The experiment they conduct is poorly designed, unethical, and potentially dangerous. And not only do they UNSCIENTIFICALLY experiment with feeding a pet dog various foods, the author seems to have never met, fed, or worked with an actual dog. This book isn't an introduction to science, it's an embarrassment to science. The experiment is set up improperly, not just childishly, but set up to give a biased response. None of the adults help them ask better questions or explore any ideas. It's just, altogether, awful. There is nothing redeeming or valuable about this book, unfortunately.
cece book 1 submitted by VanCancue on August 23, 2021, 11:17pm The experiment could've been setup better, however it does explore the scientific method. . The other cece books are better.
