Visually stunning garbage. submitted by Kikumatsu97 on June 20, 2018, 5:09pm This is one of those high reaching fantasy films with no small budget that makes considerably more sense when cut for a trailer. This nonsensical romp has the tragically typical pitfalls of European fairytale conceptualizing. It's not just lost in translation; it's sordid, deranged, masongynistic, and down right confusing. I give this storytelling disaster 2/5 stars simply for the potential of it's cast, which was sadly failed ironically by the son of a theater critic, Matteo Garrone.

strange submitted by rjsjwilliams on August 9, 2018, 1:36pm strange but familiar stories of mixed tales of Beauty and the Beast who really was a beast among others. I watched it, but never quite got into the tale because of the strange twists and turns it went on. Where I thought it might go, it never went, and when it went, it was weird

Terrible submitted by lstorc on August 28, 2018, 8:44am This was an artistic failure. The story lines were marginalized and untrue even to the Grimm fairy tale format. The acting was preposterous. The attempted puppetry left much to be desired. Don't waste your time on this one.
