COMMUNITY REVIEWS

old, old movie submitted by rjsjwilliams on July 12, 2018, 2:50pm Not as interesting as I would have liked, alhough it was based on a play and seemed accurate. Of course, after seeing review s of the present day HAMILTON, it doesn't hold a candle to it.

Mythological Alexander Hamilton submitted by generic username on July 21, 2020, 10:36am British actor George Arliss brings dignity to the Alexander Hamilton story which is what audiences wanted to see. Nevermind that Arliss was in his 60s when the movie was filmed and Hamilton in his 30s when the events of the story occur. Of the mythological tellings of the Alexander Hamilton story this one is much less entertaining than the current stage play "Hamilton." A reading of the Wikipedia version of the Hamilton-Reynolds affair provides a much different story, and, if you're interested, this library has several books about Alexander Hamilton.
