COMMUNITY REVIEWS

2018 in Pop Music submitted by Meginator on June 19, 2019, 8:26pm Unsurprisingly, this compilation is packed with massive hits from the pop, rock, rap, r&B, and country artists who set the tone for the year’s pop charts. A few of these tracks still get significant airplay, and most are characterized by strong hooks that keep them stuck in your head. The variety is nice, but I wish these albums included some representation from lesser-heralded Grammy categories; as good as this is, there’s little to distinguish it from a Now CD other than the slightly broader timeline it pulls from. Nonetheless, you can’t really go wrong here if you’re a fan of pop radio; it’s a good nostalgia trip that, apart from a few surprising duds, should age really well.
