It looks simple submitted by teri on August 7, 2018, 10:07pm I checked out this book because of its simple looking illustrations and text. It's kind of fun - but the text is perhaps a bit too complicated for young ones - and too simple looking for older. Although adults might appreciate sentences like "The parliament of owls expected the bill to pass unanimously, but there was one lone hoot of dissent".

A Library of Jokes submitted by Meginator on August 19, 2019, 10:22pm This breezy picture book takes unusual names for groups of specific animals (as with the title) to literal extremes. The premise is clever and the wordplay is a lot of fun, but I think much of the humor will go over younger readers’ heads. Given the sparse text and relatively simple full-page illustrations, this book might struggle to find an audience among readers who will fully appreciate its sophisticated sense of humor, but it is good for some laughs for literally-minded language lovers of all ages.
