Vivid illustrations submitted by bec on July 8, 2019, 8:07am Vivid, exuberant illustrations match the little boy's imagination as he embarks on a journey inspired by his grandfather. This book is wonderfully creative and gently reflects on family, loss, and storytelling. While that more complicated dimension is more or less lost on the toddler I gave it to, he loves the fantastical images and requests frequent rereads (his parents love the book but are getting more than a little tired of it at this point- so consider yourself warned).
