COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Relevant submitted by jessNU on July 29, 2018, 12:54am Love this movie! Hanks and Streep are amazing and it tells the story of how important journalism is then and now.

Right on!! submitted by Linda Rama on July 29, 2018, 9:22am Great performance about what we all need to do to get our country leaders to be accountable for their negative works. Going one step further would be to lock up leaders that allow so many people to struggle to extremes or worse die because of the leader's choices. Too much happens behind closed doors so open them wide!!!

The Post submitted by SBNB on July 29, 2018, 8:19pm I watched this movie on a plane having no idea about its content besides the tiny description given. Based on that description and the cover photo, I expected The Washington Post to be the one to discover the government deception instead of just deciding whether to publish what the New York Times had already. So I was a bit disappointed. That said, it was a good, enjoyable movie with interesting, historical subject matter, and I think Meryl Streep did an excellent job.

good submitted by elta1 on August 11, 2018, 9:18pm I liked the drama

Brilliant submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 5:31pm This was a wonderful story and a thoughtful nod to history. Also, the costumes were brilliant!

An important movie for our times submitted by mandevil on November 3, 2018, 1:25pm With the media under attack as it is these days the crucial role the press plays in protecting our freedoms cannot be overstated

Fine movie submitted by Tassos on January 14, 2019, 7:06am Much better than the usual silly nonsense from Spielberg (ET, Jurassic Park). Streep and Hanks are ok too.

Important submitted by markwells on June 30, 2019, 2:45pm An "Important" movie. A lot of dialogue that you fear will drag you down but instead draws you in. Spielberg is good at that. Grade: A-.

The Post submitted by Varshini on July 30, 2019, 2:59am Great movie about The Washington Post and The Pentagon Papers. I enjoyed it a lot! 5/5

A must see submitted by yufamily on August 24, 2019, 2:01pm The media is not the Enemy of the People...

I'd hoped for more about the personalities of the journalists, but it did give me some. submitted by lisa on June 13, 2021, 12:06pm Suggestion: if you haven't seen All the President's Men, watch that first.
