COMMUNITY REVIEWS

one of Ondaatje's best submitted by spostjacobs on June 29, 2018, 3:28pm The all-encompassing mood of Warlight comes from the reader sharing the hazy confusion experienced by the main character & his sister throughout much of the novel, so I think it is better not to spoil too many details. Suffice it to say the setting is England, primarily London, during the 1940s. Ondaatje's writing is dreamy & gorgeous, as always. Warlight manages to have elements of a World War II thriller intermixed with a reflection on the fragile imperfection of memory.
