Good Barnett Klassen collaboration submitted by rea2mill on July 23, 2019, 10:00am This might be my favorite Mac Barnett and John Klassen collaboration. It’s cute and fun for kids while giving adults more to think about. A number of their books are fun for the adults reading them aloud to think about on a more intellectual level. This one presents an opportunity to think about the role the viewer plays in creating value or importance for a work of art. While for your kids it’s a funny story about a square and a circle and a case of mistaken identity.
Also, while this book looks a lot like their Triangle book, the only relationship between the two is that the square character appears in both. We didn’t really like the triangle book.
