Dunkirk and beyond submitted by camelsamba on July 8, 2023, 8:57pm Dunkirk features in the plot this time (with connections to both Priscilla’s and Billie’s families), but the main focus is on the family of a teenage boy who has gone missing from his job (painting military buildings with fire retardant paint). They ask Maisie to track him down - and then she starts untangling webs that they would rather keep hidden. As usual, there are wonderful interactions between the characters and fascinating historical facts (eg Winspear’s father did that painting job during WW2).
