Looking for some new varieties? Try this book!

If you're tired of growing the same vegetables year after year - this book introduces many lesser known possibilities. This year I'm trying Poona Kheera cucumber, and Chinese Five Color pepper. Jabbour includes good descriptions and growing instructions for all varieties. A slight drawback is that there isn't a specific source list. However, in the acknowledgement section, she thanks several seed companies, which could probably be used to hunt down whatever variety you have your eye on.
This book is a nice addition for the gardener who's always looking for something new!
Good submitted by zmclaugh on August 8, 2018, 4:34pm This is a great book if you're tired of the same old vegetable garden books with the same old plants. Lots of ideas for new plants to try, though no suggestions about where you might find seeds and not a ton of information for those completely new to gardening.
