Why learn programming? -- Scratch 2.0 -- Sprite, stage, script -- Areas -- Tools -- Blocks -- Panes -- Projects -- The dawn of a new day -- "Just keep swimming!" -- The math dragon -- Kind the key -- The Sibyl -- The snail racetrack -- Solutions.
With this fun guide, even children new to coding can learn how to tell their own stories! Starting from simple, two-dimensional drawings, Coding for Kids 2 teaches students how to build animations . . . and gradually make them more complex. Using Scratch 2.0, the free software created by the MIT Media Labs specifically for young people, the book provides step-by-step instructions, projects arranged by difficulty, and a series of challenges for older readers.

Appreciated submitted by Claireywang on August 17, 2018, 9:36pm I really appreciated this book because it had some great ideas that I think alll scratchers should take a look at, especially if your running out of ideas. I was, and now I am currently working on one of my biggest projects ever, on Scratch. The book also provides solutions, though it also lets u mix it up a little. Not too long, and full of ideas and inspiration. I recommend this to anyone from a beginning coder tomadvanced ones.

Dissatisfied submitted by luveu96 on June 24, 2022, 3:30pm This book wasn’t the way I thought it would be. It has instructions, but not clear pictures and instructions. I was really disappointed. I would only rate it 1/5.
