If you are a fan of doing fresh new things, you will be pleased. It has some awesome cinematic moments, and some questionable plot devices. Critics loved it for the risks it took. A disappointment submitted by FordAlpha on August 13, 2018, 9:45pm After the fun of "The Force Awakens", "The Last Jedi" is a great disappointment. It's not fun at all. Things go from bad to worse to worse yet to oh, why don't we just give up all hope. Sure, there are lots of fast-paced action sequences: too many, in fact. The movie goes from one pointless fight/battle to the next with little consideration for effective storytelling. Who and what are really important here? And it goes way overboard in adding new types of weapons and new Force abilities. I really can't blame crusty old Luke Skywalker for wanting to stay well clear of the whole business.
