COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Roots of Hip Hop submitted by Meginator on June 17, 2018, 8:41am This compilation showcases some of the jazz, soul, and R&B that planted the seeds of hip-hop in the late 1960s and early 1970s. I enjoyed listening backward, and hearing how this music continues to resonate with modern performers, even if they aren’t explicitly aware of any direct influence.
