In and Out of Time submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 9:00am This album of cover songs pays adequate tribute to the outstanding originals, even though most of the featured artists do so by sounding quite similar to the source material. Still, a few tracks pop out for their original takes on now-classic hits (and lesser-known but still accomplished songs), and the overall vibe feels like a modern spin on a sound that always felt ahead of its own time. This compilation is good enough to satisfy longtime fans of the Who and will also pique the interest of listeners who only know the band’s most frequently played hits.
