Early Abe submitted by gem on July 6, 2018, 11:19am Watching the movie about the earlier life of Abe Lincoln opened my eyes to his characteristics that made him into the man he became. The movie was interesting ( a teeny slow moving), and had some action packed scenes. There was some mystery thrown in and a real surprise at the end. There was some violence, but it was pretty low key and not at all blood and guts. I liked the movie.

Good movie submitted by denisemw on August 10, 2019, 11:03am I expected a documentary, but instead it was depiction of young adult Abe starring Henry Fonda. Black and white, more like a western. Good performances and story line, I found it entertaining.

Historical Court Drama submitted by brooksza on July 23, 2023, 10:04am Well-acted by Henry Fonda and well-made by John Ford. Fonda really seemed to embody and look like Abraham Lincoln. This was an interesting look at Lincoln's early career and formative years. I was surprised to see Revolutionary War veterans marching in the parade and a reminder of how close to history we really are.
