It is a timely tale of what can happen when engaged citizens fight the power for the sake of a better world. Arguably, no one did more to shape our understanding of the modern American city than Jane Jacobs, the visionary activist and writer who fought to preserve urban communities in the face of destructive development projects.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS
A favorite thinker and activist submitted by tropology on August 29, 2020, 8:01pm I've been a fan of Jane Jacobs for 30 years. She's changed my perspective on urbanism and city planning. It was good to see the story of her activism unfold with footage and interviews. For those unfamiliar with Jane Jacobs this is an easy way to gain an appreciation of her role in the history of NY.
