The forested hills of Zimbabwe may not seem like typical cheetah habitat. But it's here that cinematographer Kim Wolhuter forges an amazing relationship with a wild cheetah family. For two years, he shadows a mom and her cubs to reveal what it takes to turn cubs into predators. Along the way, he discovers the heartbreak and triumph every cheetah mother must face as she raises the next generation.

up close and personal submitted by rjsjwilliams on June 16, 2018, 12:43pm This documentary was very up close since the photographer earned the mother's respect and trust and he was allowed to get very close to her and her original five babies. Though it was the law of the jungle, it was still heart-breaking when one baby died with disease and the other two were eaten. Two years of photography was put into this fantastic episode for one Nature program.

Impressive submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 10:25pm It's impressive that any human being can become close enough with Wildcats to be able to follow the life cycles from cubs to grown cheetahs. It is beautifully filmed.
