amazing submitted by ColeenT on July 15, 2011, 9:37am really good

Good submitted by Margaretta on July 17, 2011, 1:08pm This book was good, but not as good as some of the others. It was kind of boring to tell the truth.

gripping submitted by aschulte on July 18, 2011, 6:40pm this is a super suspenceful book!

Great Cover submitted by 0liviap0pp on August 19, 2011, 6:11am This book has a great cover drawing.

:) submitted by Lizzy on August 10, 2013, 1:25pm good, but not the best

Awesome submitted by iamnotonfire on August 25, 2014, 12:14pm I liked this book but you should read the older one because its more detailed.

addicting submitted by Judeyblu on August 2, 2015, 8:56am start this book and take the first step through the series.

my girlhood submitted by sarai koster-mockeridge on August 12, 2015, 10:48am I read all the nancy drew books as a young girl. It's an amazing series!

Suspenseful submitted by kferguson on July 25, 2016, 9:12pm Suspenseful and fun

Classic suspense submitted by hjafuller on July 4, 2017, 2:44pm This book is a classic children's mystery. The plot is fairly simple, but my kindergartener enjoyed it as a read-aloud. I did have to edit a few descriptions to fit modern sensibilities.

Once you read this submitted by irksit on July 22, 2018, 10:13am You’ll want to read all the Nancy Drew books, there’s no going back! Still one of my favorite books of all time.

the first Nancy submitted by camelsamba on June 22, 2019, 10:11pm When I was a tween, my family acquired an extensive set of early hardcover Nancy Drew mysteries from a band boosters yard sale. How I treasured them! I'm sure I flew through them. My friend Pam and I used to pretend to be Nancy Drew, and pretend we had mysteries to solve around the neighborhood. We never broke into anyone's house or encountered bad guys with guns (or solved any mysteries, come to think of it :-) but it wasn't for lack of trying. Mysteries are still my favorite genre. It was nice to check in with an old friend.

(Although really Carolyn Keene: "River Heights Attractive Park" - is that the best you got?? You used up all your imagination on details of hair and wardrobes, so we're left with River Heights Attractive Park??)

Fueled my love for mysteries submitted by amandasaurus on June 19, 2022, 6:29pm This is a great first step into the mystery genre-if you loved Boxcar Children or Encyclopedia Brown, this is just your speed! I started here and moved on to Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot a few years later-and haven’t stopped.

The Start submitted by vclinton on August 4, 2023, 8:16am The beginning of an era - this literally started it all. How do you not give it five stars for that alone?

favorite submitted by volunteerchow on August 16, 2023, 7:07pm my favorite nancy drew book
