COMMUNITY REVIEWS

not as good as the first one submitted by yufamily on August 8, 2018, 10:44pm Somehow, it fell flat.

Suffers from middle-of-a-trilogy syndrome, otherwise, pretty great submitted by valjean on August 24, 2018, 10:30pm This movie is mostly about expanding the world and setting established in the first John Wick movie. It has even more intense action and gunplay scenes, presumably because of the much expanded budget. The sets and film locations are stunningly pretty, as well. The actors themselves don't have much to say or add to the plot of the movie, which is fairly straightforward and nothing special, but that's not really what these set of movies are about. The only sort of downside to this, is it basically follows directly from John Wick 1 into (presumably) John Wick 3, so it leaves you with a familiar feeling of 'why did we bother with this?' that you may have gotten with other trilogies.

Boring submitted by lstorc on August 27, 2018, 1:43pm This was anti-climatic and boring, especially when compared with the first one. Some movies should not have sequels...

Good Action Sequel submitted by generic username on August 29, 2019, 12:30pm I liked the way "John Wick, Chapter 2" expanded the story-world. The sub-plot with Laurence Fishburne made this a fuller film that the first Wick movie, which was almost all action scenes. Like the first film, the action scenes in the second are excellent.

Interesting submitted by Xris on December 18, 2020, 11:06pm I like the fight between John Wick and Cassian (Common's character). But the concierge is my favorite character. I like the Bowery and all the bums on the streets being assassins. Better than the first one.

Wild submitted by brooksza on July 25, 2022, 3:52pm Visually stylish, the Reflections of the Soul exhibit fighting is top notch (on the same day I watched Enter the Dragon no less). The red blood on white surfaces pops through the whole movie.

Good montage of Johnathan getting ready for battle.

The sound design is so good too. Great movie to blast.

Cliffhanger made me excited to dive into chapter 3.
