Not your typical Jackie Chan movie submitted by valjean on July 29, 2018, 9:09pm It is easy to describe this movie as 'Jackie Chan movie' + 'Taken series', but that's not quite right. It's a lot more dark and serious than either of those, and not as action-packed, either. But, in broad strokes, it does have Jackie doing some nice action, and it is still a revenge movie. Just be prepared for a more subdued and heavy movie than you might expect.

The Foreigner dvd submitted by a2sue on July 20, 2019, 11:44pm The dvd of The Foreigner was refreshing because it wasn't what you'd normally expect from a Jackie Chan film. His character wanted revenge and would stop at nothing to get it...

Darker than usual submitted by RebeccaWittekindt on July 24, 2023, 8:08pm Definitely darker than what one usually gets with Jackie Chan. As much as I love the classic Jackie Chan movies, I enjoy seeing him doing something a little less stunt heavy and more serious these days.
